Accept & Manage Crypto Payments With AI (Claude & ChatGPT)

Connect CryptoGate to Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP assistant and run your crypto payments by chat: check balances, look up payments, and create payment links. AI can never move your funds.

Can You Accept and Manage Crypto Payments With AI?

Yes. With CryptoGate you can connect your crypto payment account to Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible assistant and run it by chat — check your balances, look up a payment, and create a payment link for a customer, all in plain language. The connection is read-and-create only: an AI assistant can never move your funds, change your wallet, or touch your security settings.

AI assistants have quietly become the place people get work done. So we made CryptoGate work right inside them. Connect your account to Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible assistant and you can run your crypto payments by chat — check what you took this week, look up a specific payment, or spin up a payment link for a customer, all in plain language.

It is built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open standard AI apps use to connect to outside tools. CryptoGate runs a hosted MCP server, so there is nothing to install — you add one URL and sign in.

What you can do from your AI assistant

How to connect Claude or ChatGPT (about a minute)

  1. Add the connector. In your AI app's connectors or integrations, add a new MCP server with this URL: https://mcp.cryptogate.live/mcp
  2. Sign in. The app opens CryptoGate's secure sign-in. Log in with your normal account.
  3. Approve with 2FA. Review what you're granting and confirm with a fresh two-factor code. (You'll need 2FA enabled on your account.)
  4. Ask away. That's it — your assistant can now help with your payments.

Is it safe to connect AI to a payments account?

This is a payments platform, so the connection is deliberately locked down. An AI connection can never move funds, change your receiving wallet, withdraw, edit webhooks, or change security settings. Those actions live only in your dashboard, behind step-up two-factor authentication — by design, they aren't reachable from the AI at all.

Every AI connection uses its own credentials (never your secret API key), every action is logged, and it counts against your normal plan limits. You can see and revoke connected assistants anytime from your dashboard under API & Integrations → AI Assistants.

Why this is built on non-custodial rails

The reason an AI connection can never run off with your money is the same reason CryptoGate itself can't: the platform is non-custodial. Payments are derived from your own xPub key and land directly in a wallet you control. There is no internal balance for an AI — or anyone — to drain, because the funds were never pooled in the first place.

Why running payments by chat matters

Most payment tools make you stop what you're doing, open a dashboard, and dig. This flips it around: the answer comes to you, in the tool you're already in. It's a small thing that makes running a crypto-accepting business feel a lot lighter — and it's the kind of head start most processors haven't shipped yet.

CryptoGate is non-custodial crypto payments — Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Dash and major stablecoins (USDT, USDC) straight to your own wallet, no KYC and no chargebacks. Already selling online? See how it slots into Shopify or WooCommerce. Create a free account, then connect your assistant.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I accept crypto payments through ChatGPT or Claude?

You can create and manage them. After connecting CryptoGate, your assistant can generate a crypto payment link to send a customer and check whether payments have cleared. The customer still pays from their own wallet on a hosted page.

Can an AI assistant move or steal my funds?

No. The connection can only read your account and create payment links. It cannot withdraw, move funds, change your receiving wallet, or alter security settings — those are dashboard-only and protected by step-up 2FA.

What is MCP and do I need to install anything?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard AI apps use to connect to external tools. CryptoGate runs a hosted MCP server, so there is nothing to install — you add one URL in your AI app and sign in.

Does using AI cost extra on CryptoGate?

No separate fee. AI actions count against your normal plan limits just like dashboard or API activity, and each connection uses its own credentials that you can revoke at any time.

Which AI assistants are supported?

Any MCP-compatible assistant, including Claude and ChatGPT. You connect by adding the CryptoGate MCP server URL in the app's connectors or integrations settings.

How do I disconnect an AI assistant?

Open your dashboard, go to API and Integrations, then AI Assistants, and revoke the connection. Access ends immediately.
